YOUR CONTACT DETAILS
Please ensure you give, preferably an email address or contact telephone number when entering your details via Checkout. This enables us to then confirm your order via email or contact you should their be any problems.
CANCELLING AN ORDER
As orders are despatched either same day / next working day, orders can be cancelled at no charge if cancelled prior to despatch.
Please see notes on Deliveries for details on despatch times.
To Cancel: Please email sales@characters4kids.co.uk with your order number & contact details.
If an order has already been despatched, unfortunately it will have to be returned at your expense for a refund. *Please see notes on Returns below.
RETURNS POLICY
In the very rare case of faulty or damaged item being recieved by you the customer, the product can either be exchanged or a full refund will be given. *Please see notes on Faulty / Damaged Goods below.
If you are unhappy with the product/s or wish to exchange or made an error in purchasing, please return the product/s within 14 days of the purchase date along with a copy of your invoice.
Refunds will then be made within 14 days of the product/s being returned. please note this is only on the condition the item is returned at your expense within 14 days of the purchase date.
Postage costs will not be refunded.
FAULTY / DAMAGED GOODS
Photographic evidence maybe required of the fault / damage of the item or the product if we do do not require the item to be returned (Requirement of the Manufacturers/Suppliers)
Replacements / Refunds will be made only once the item/s have been returned.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the postage on returning any goods for whatever reason, although we will always send replacements of faulty items Free of Charge.
PAYMENT METHODS
CREDIT / DEBIT CARDS
- HSBC
Instantly takes you to their secure e-payments site, security questions will be asked to ensure that you are in fact the cardholder, this is for your own safety. Payments are then instant, encrypted & very secure!
- EKM Secure Server
A safe & secure way of entering your card details which is then passed onto us to manually process. All card details are then destroyed for security purposes.
- Google Checkout
Instantly directs you to Google's Secure Payment Page, which is very easy & extremely safe to use.
- PayPal Express
Takes you directly to paypal's payment page where you can either log in to use your account or just pay by card - You do not need to have a PayPal account.
PACKAGING
Orders will be well packaged in Tissue Paper / Bubble Wrap & placed in a Durable Plastic Mailing Bag or Mail Lite Bag as this type of packaging is very light in weight it allows postage costs to be kept at a minimum.
On heavier orders we use boxes & try to recycle as much as we can by reusing boxes that we have had delivered to us.
POSTAL DELIVERY
Please Note: Due to excessive delivery charges on orders weighing over 2kg, a higher charge may be applied other than that stated at checkout. We will always contact you to notify you, at which point you can still cancel your order should you wish to.
Payment must be cleared prior to dispatch of all orders. Once received & cleared, the following will apply:
Orders placed by 12 Noon (Mon - Fri) will be despatched the same day. Otherwise they will be despatched the next working day.
Please Note: In Guernsey there is No Postal Service on a Sunday & Weather can occassionaly cause delays at Guernsey Airport.
Although UK Post normally leaves the Island on a daily basis, in the evenings, please allow an extra day for Standard Delivery to what you are used to in the Uk.
GUERNSEY COLLECTION
You are welcome to COLLECT your order FREE of charge to save on the Postage & Packaging costs if you so wish. This option is obviously for Guernsey residents or Visitors only. Payment however, must be made prior to collection.
STANDARD UK & JERSEY (3-5 Working Days)
UK Orders Under £10.00= £2.95
UK Orders Under £50.00= £4.95
UK Orders Over £50.00 = Free
For standard delivery we use Royal Mail Letter Post by Air, on larger, heavier orders we may use Royal Mail's Parcel Post by Sea which can take an extra couple of days delivery.
Standard UK & Jesrey Signed for is £1 extra to the above rates, this service is not trackable but does require a signature on delivery.
24 HOUR EXPRESS DELIVERY - UK & JERSEY
(Guaranteed by 1pm Next Working Day)

Orders Under £50.00= £23.00
Orders Over £50.00 = £36.00
This option is a Trackable & Signed for service that requires a signature on arrival as proof of delivery. Delivery is only guaranteed Next Day Mon - Fri if ordered & paid for before 12pm.
For this we use Royal Mail's Special Delivery service.
GUERNSEY POST
Orders Under £10.00= £1.50
Orders Under £50.00= £3.00
Orders Over £50.00 = Free
EURAOPE AIRMAIL STANDARD
Airmail Standard with free compensation up to £30 for loss or damage. Delivery normally takes between 5-7 working days, this is only a guide and is not guaranteed. We will only ship to the cardholders address for all Europe & International orders for security reasons.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY (7-28 Days)
Please request postage costs once you have placed an order, We're happy to email you a paypal or google invoice, alternatively please call us to pay over the phone. Failure to do so will either result in your card being charged so that we can process the order as quickly as possible for you or your order being cancelled if payment is not made.
All Postage costs are to be beared by the customer.
Exeption: Postage will not be charged when supplying a replacement due to Faults/Damage

UK VAT
Channel Islands: All orders are completely VAT FREE
UK: Orders £18.00 & Under = VAT FREE
Orders £18.01 & Over = 17.5% VAT
Legally, when sending goods to UK Mainland from the Channel Islands, VAT should be charged on each packet / parcel containing a gift value of above £36.00 or commercial value above £18.00
Please note that if VAT is due & not paid at source the recipient could get charged on delivery.
To get around not paying the VAT please ensure that your orders are under £18 even if it means placing more than one order. This way they will be dispatched seperately.
We may at our discretion send items from the same order seperately so that you do not incur the costs of VAT
PRIVACY STATEMENT
We will never use your details for any other purpose other than for processing & dispatching your order.
We will never pass on any of our customers details to any 3rd party for any reason whatsoever & we can assure you that we will never email you with promotions or news letters like many other online merchants unless you request them.
All details we have of our customers are kept within our securely hosted website for our future reference only, incase of queries on orders & complaints etc.
Any paperwork we may have on our customers payment details will always be shredded & recycled on disposal.
